Opsera Relaunches as an AI-Native Software Factory
Opsera, long known for its continuous orchestration platform for DevOps, has announced its relaunch as an AI-native software factory, with its Forge factory released in April at its center. In its announcement at the time, Opsera said Forge was created as an AI-SDLC that enforces context, spec-based development and guardrails that helps organizations get from idea to production more rapidly, using any coding assistant. It acts as an AI harness to provide the context, guardrails and traceability needed to create specs from legacy logic, architecture and business intent.
“AI has changed how code gets written. It hasn’t yet changed how software gets delivered, how legacy systems get modernized or how AI investment gets measured. We rebuilt Opsera to solve those three problems,” Kumar Chivukula, CEO of Opsera. said in the announcement.. “Enterprises keep their code, their models and their tools, and our AI-native software factory, with an AI harness at its core, gives them the context, specifications and guardrails to turn AI generated code or legacy code into applications they can ship, trust and measure.”
Forge includes the modernization assessment tool ForgeScore, which evaluates legacy codebases for security, maintainability, cognitive load, semantic quality and future-proofing, among other capabilities. That evaluation results in a modernization blueprint based on technical risk, architectural complexity and AI readiness, the company wrote in its announcement.
Many organization s today are struggling to see exactly where their AI spend and how to manage it. “Opsera’s Unified Insights gives engineering, security and finance leaders one view of their AI investment: which tools, teams and workflows the spend goes to, how it’s changing delivery speed and quality, and whether it’s being used responsibly. Through tokenomics and token mapping, it connects AI spend directly to results like lower opex and leaner token usage,” the company wrote in its announcement.
